What is the design build process?

The design-build process is a construction method where one team is responsible for both the design and construction of a build; a one-stop shop, if you will. Do you have a project minimum?

Bowline Construction does a wide range of projects, both small and large however we may not be the right fit for smaller projects that might be performed by more of a handyman style service. Not sure what the budget is or should be for your project? Let’s talk about it. We are more than happy to help give you a general idea.

What is the average cost of a renovation?

There’s always a wide range of factors and considerations that can affect the cost of a project however our average renovation project falls between $250-$400 per square foot, giving you a start to finish project. We would love to talk about your specific project to give you a detailed cost analysis.

How long does the design process take?

Our average design process including permitting can take between 2 to 6 months. A smaller kitchen renovation would be closer to the 3-month range whereas an addition would be closer to 4-6 months.

How long does the average renovation take?

There is no simple answer here. A smaller kitchen or interior renovations typically take between 6-12 weeks, whereas our larger whole home renovation or addition projects typically take between 3-6 months to complete.

What is the average cost of a renovation?
To give you a clearer understanding of where our typical project costs tend to fall, we’ve prepared the following outline as a reference guide:
– Home additions generally range from $250 to $300 per square foot.
– Kitchen renovations start at around $50,000, though with additions like new flooring or wall and ceiling updates, costs usually begin closer to $100,000.
– Basement suites typically cost between $150 and $200 per square foot.
– Bathroom renovations start between $25,000 and $50,000.
– Shops range from $150 to $250 per square foot.
– Barns also range from $150 to $250 per square foot.
